I am intrigued by how we leave what we know and navigate the unknown—when your things, your thoughts, that have been with you fall away. Close the Door Slowly explores passages from the known world into the unknown world. Uncertainty that invigorates and propels.
Close the Door Slowly transforms Z Space into an old-world study imbued with the voyages of a past inhabitant. The audience and dancers are immersed in the vibrant, mysterious world of these voyages and their aftereffects; investigating together things both invisible and seen. What do these things communicate about us, how do we bring them forwards with us, or not?
