‘Sex, Camp, Rock ‘N Roll’ is a musical cabaret fantasy that boldly explores sexuality and sex work in a raw, bareback fashion. Thoroughly humourous, deeply vulnerable, and exceedingly fantastical, the show sees RP Welsh seamlessly weave together a night of story, song, and sensuality. Welsh, aka the 8th Best Legs in San Francisco, prepares to bare all about their triumphs and struggles as a queer sex worker in the modern age.

The show features diva duo, The K*ntz! and rockband The Gruntz!, which add another dimension to an evening of refreshing honesty and dazzling entertainment. All this whilst singing along to some of your favourite songs from Donna Summer and Talking Heads to Nina Simone. Think Bette Midler meets Sandra Bernhard!

Based on RP’s real life exploring his overtly sexual nature and his love of camp, he takes a deep dive into his unending lust for men, discovering his queerness through Fran Drescher on The Nanny, and his personal journey that led him to becoming a sex worker. He talks frankly about the many positives of sex work, but also the many challenges, including how it affects his own relationship to sex and relationships with other men. He also highlights the necessity of queers creating their own possibility models in order to survive, whilst investigating how he separated his own masculinity and femininity his whole life out of a quest for survival.
