Staff Testimonials

Gus's Community Market
2111 Harrison St @ 17th, San Francisco, CA 94110
A run to Gus’s market is a staple in most of Z Staff’s workdays, they have great to go sandwiches, poke bowls, a salad bar and a coffee shop (our marketing director swears by their lox bagels). It’s also a local San Francisco business with deep community roots and great place to shop for all manner of fresh produce, delectable specialty cheeses and high quality meats.

Admittedly, it’s not the jam for a nice sit down dinner, but it’s a great option for a quick bite if before you pop into Z Space, particularly for a matinée.

El Metaté
2406 Bryant St @ 22nd St, San Francisco, CA 94110
One of my personal favorite taquerías in the entire Mission District (and that is saying a lot). El Metaté is a great option for a casual bite to eat prior to catching a show here at Z Space. They have especially delicious salsa, and their Torta del Mar is a wonderful seafood option, which also comes with a side or tortilla soup.

Bissap Baobab
2243 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94110
Little Baobab recently got a well deserved upgrade from their small 19th Street location to prime real estate around the corner on Mission Street. Known for their delicious Senegalese food by day and their fun Afrobeat parties on the weekends, Bissap Baobab’s menu has many yummy options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. My favorite entree (as is many people’s) is definitely the Yassa with chicken and jollof rice, with a delightful hibiscus margarita on the side. Enjoy!
