“We are all People,” answered Answer Woman. “Some of us have taken the form of animals, some the form of human beings. But we are all relatives. We all talk. We all have stories. We come from the same village, after all."

Word for Word is pleased to present How A Mountain Was Made, a special show geared toward children and based on two stories by Native American author Greg Sarris. Sarris was inspired by the folktales of the Southern Pomo and Coast Miwok peoples, who are native to the land that is now known as Sonoma County.

This energetic show features colorful characters, fun songs and dance, and beautiful masks. Your little one is sure to be entertained, while learning about the native cultures of California and the deep respect for the natural world that they hold sacred.

Come spend an hour in the company of Tso Tso the Lizard Goddess, cranky Waterbug, Medicine Man Tom Smith, and more!

Recommended for ages 5 and up.
