1948. San Francisco’s Fillmore District, to some the "Harlem of the West", to others “Japanese Town”. Racial tensions simmer, love triangles soar, and the wrecking ball looms as each community feels the weight of the past and the pressure of an uncertain future.

Z Space provides artists a place to develop and present innovative performance pieces, in a variety of different genres from many diverse voices. We value bravery and the right of artists to express themselves freely. To that end, the opinions and beliefs expressed by artists in our venue do not necessarily reflect those of Z Space, nor of our staff.
